Winter 2017 with snow!

Today feels cold and it made me look back at some snow images from the past. I came upon some images from February 11 in 2017. It was also a cold day and it was snowing when I woke up! Just a little bit, but hey, these days we don't get much snow anymore so of course I could not let that go. Got both my cameras (the 6D with my 24-70 lens and the 7D with my 100-400 lens) in the bag as I did not want to change lenses in that type of weather and decided to drive around in the area to see what I could find. I was really happy to find some cows that were outside and managed to get some nice shots with the short lens. However, it was then that I realised I had forgotten my tripod. I decided to continue anyway. The landscape at that location was not bad either. Despite the cold I was able to take some nice details of the eyes with the long lens. As I continued on I saw several cormorants, an egret and even some deer! Finally when the weather got too bad I decided to go home and have some hot chocolate knowing that this was a morning well spent! Needless to say I was quite happy with the results.
